Supervision for Counsellors and Therapists
Regular supervision is a core element of our counselling practice and a requirement of our professional bodies.
Clinical supervision is a collaborative process between the supervisor and supervisee and provides an opportunity to explore personal and professional issues in a safe and enabling environment. It acts as a safeguard for our clients to ensure that we are providing the best possible service to them. You are invited to bring and explore areas of your practice, including client work, contracting, ethics and your development. I can also support you with building your private practice.
I am integrative supervisor using various modalities, attachment, narrative, psychodynamic, systemic and CBT. I have many years of experience working with couples and individuals from a relationship and psychosexual therapy perspective. I also work with individuals and couples with Sex and Porn Addiction/Compulsive behaviours. EMDR is another tool I use as part of my work with trauma.
I use the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision which includes a focus on the relationship between the client and therapist and between therapist and supervisor, along with how these fit into the wider context.
As a requirement of being a Supervisor I will be having supervision of the supervision that I am providing to ensure I am supporting you in the best possible way.
